History

Melena Rounis and Geneen Georgiev, two extremely diverse performers and instructors who are sought after both locally and internationally created DDC in the summer of 2007. These two talented young ladies, are passionate about establishing the hub for professional dance development in Vancouver. Their strong work ethic and abilities have given them an international reputation that they are proud to use, to bring Vancouver some of the most outstanding, well known, and inspiring guest instructors from around the world. They will be hosting a variety of celebrity dancers and choreographers who work with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Don Omar, Will Smith, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and more, as well as choreographers and finalists from the hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance”! DDC has an outrageously talented faculty itself, and offers classes in open, pre-professional, and professional levels. Some of DDC’s faculty credits include Elise Estrada, Nelly Furtado, The Roots, Ludacris, Don Omar, Chingy, Shaun Desman, 98 Degrees, MC Hammer, Jordan Knight, Black Eyed Peas and more!

Throughout Vancouver, North America and Europe the DDC faculty has worked with numerous acclaimed choreographers and companies encompassing many genres of music and dance. So if it’s a technical training class, or inspiring groove session you are seeking, Drive Dance Centre has a class for you!
