Linda Arkelian's Bringing Artists Together

Bat

Linda Arkelian's Saturday Int/Adv. Ballet class has been transformed into a focal point for Vancouver`s artists. Guest visual artists, photographers, videographers and musicians have visited her class. Using the dancers as models the artists have painted and photographed often while live musicians play. Linda's multi disciplinary project, "Bringing Artists Together" lives up to its title. The inspiration flows both ways: from the dancers to the artists and then back again to the dancers.

Linda initiated the series, "Bringing Artists Together", with the acclaimed dance photographer and arts advocate, David Cooper, whose visions of dancers ranged from action images to impressionistic glimpses capturing the dancers' inner strength. This event inspired Linda to continue to pursue other artists.

Linda and her dancers are looking forward to future collaborations.

The visiting guest artists from past events make up an impressive collection of talents:
